They Made It – Mission MAD!

On Saturday, Michael Tucker and Guy Laman completed a 330 mile journey to Atlanta from Kentucky. When they arrived at the finish line, there was a crowd of folks to cheer them on.

It was amazingly humbling to have these two sacrifice their time and energy to help raise thousands of hygiene items to go inside the #mobilemakeovers bus.

Less than 50 – Love Tour!

In less than 50 days, we are going to #loveGA by going on our first tour with our #mobilemakeovers bus! It’s called the #lovetour because we will mobilize/educate people, collaborate for change, and raise awareness for people living in poverty and experiencing homelessness!

We are going to travel the state and take love to multiple cities! More details to follow soon… The Countdown begins now!

Volunteers Are Needed!

This Saturday, we need volunteers to sort hundreds of hygiene products and meet @mission_mad at the finish line! Additionally, we are prepping the bus to hit the road for the first time this month! Get involved, volunteer!

"Man or Male" Supports Love Feeds!

This past weekend, Derrick Bailey (Principal in Cobb) dropped off several boxes of food raised from a young men’s mentoring group called, “Man or Male.”

This group shows young men the importance of having character and integrity throughout their life. We will use these donations to resource many families that are food insecure in the area where our office is located.

Floors are in the bus!

For the last month or so (since I got off the bus), our team has be diligently working to get the bus up and on the road! It has taken tons of sacrifice, effort, and focus to work on the bus. Along the way, God has sent some really cool people to help out.

On Wednesday, Dave and Darren decided to lay the floors in the bus. As you can see from the picture below, the bus is really starting to change and transform on the inside…

Although we have won’t immediatly have the showers installed (still have more funds to raise), we are aiming to get the bus on the road to start mobilizing barbers/stylist, and people who want to make people over with the closet inside the bus.

Love Beyond Walls @ Morehouse!

Yesterday, Terence got a chance to present to over 70 up and coming community leaders from Morehouse & Spelman College about #lovebeyondwalls, and what t means to make a difference in the world through service.

The talk took place in front of the group “Project House” (an organization led by the student body that organizes students to serve among the homeless population).

Below is a picture of Jairus Davis (E board Member) that invited us out and put this on at Dansby Hall.
